Tweet Marbella

September 9th, 2010  / Author: admin

Since the rise of social media within the marketing field, spontaneous get-togethers are rather easy to arrange with event invitations on Facebook or “Tweetvites”. The event serves networking purposes; specifically to get people away from online networking and the computer screens and get them to show their faces and meet people they follow or are followed by themselves.

Redline had the opportunity to attend the Marbella Tweet up, held yesterday in Guey Restaurant, Nueva Andalucía. Tweet Marbella is organized by local business woman Nicola Erlich, specializing in social media and event organisation. The event is visited by mostly expats living in the area, but the Spanish are more and more joining in as well – which makes the event multicultural, fitting the image of Marbella perfectly.

Make sure to join this crowd next time around – follow the hash tags #tweetmarbella on Twitter to get more information.

Redline goes ¡OLÉ!

August 20th, 2010  / Author: admin

This week is very special to people living in Málaga.

In August of 1487 Málaga became Christian after the conquest of the catholic kings Isabel & Fernando. Because of this since the year 1887 the city of Málaga celebrates its feria, to honnor this historical event in the city’s history.

This year is one of the biggest ones yet housing 150 “casetas” which are house looking tents both daytime as well as night time.
We are going tonight to check it out, of course dance a little bit of “Sevillanas” and a drink lots of Cartojal (dessert wine)!

¡OLÉ!

Have a great weekend!

Redline Company Joins Logo Competition

August 19th, 2010  / Author: admin

It’s Thursday of what is probably the most un-eventful month of the Spanish year in business, but we are sitting on nails in the Redline office impatiently awaiting the results from a logo design competition that we have entered.

The Logo competition is for the Spanish City Granada’s millennium celebration called; Reino de Granada (Eng: Reign of Granada). The concept of the competition is to create a logo and a strap line that presents, summarizes and honours the cultural heritage of the city of Granada celebrating the millennium in 2013, through years of conquest, starting with the moors or “Nazari” as they were called to the Catholic conquest and to modern times. All the changes in religion and cultures have left Granada with architectural treasures such as the world renowned “Alhambra”, which has been recognized as one of the world’s wonders by UNESCO.

Stay tuned for the results!

A night at the Hippodrome

July 23rd, 2010  / Author: admin

Have you ever been at a horse race? If the answer is no we assume that you have not heard about the Mijas Costa Hippodrome.  Just recently we got invitations to the sports venue that is opens a few times per year.

Line has a typical case of New Begginers Luck and won a “gemela” on the first race, which means that the first two horses to cross the finishing line are the ones you betted on. It was the only win of the night as me and Lulu were short on luck that night…

Horse racing has been proved to be one of the oldest sports in the world.  Especially  in Greece scientists have found  acient objects with racing horses painted on them.

The Mijas Costa Hippodrome is open every Saturday until the 6th of August. For more information about upcoming events visit www.hipodromocostadelsol.es
